Dr Gerard McLauchlan qualified from Glasgow Vet School in 2006 after which he completed an internship and worked in general practice before completing a three-year residency programme in internal medicine.

Dr Gerard McLauchlan is a European and Royal College Recognised Specialist in Internal Medicine. Following Residency, he completed 12 months training in Interventional Radiology at the Animal Medical Center in New York and is one of only a handful of specialists in the world to have undertaken this level of advanced training.

He has lectured nationally and internationally at veterinary and human medical conferences on both Internal Medicine and Interventional Radiology and authored multiple scientific papers and book chapters.
